HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — Those in downtown Hendersonville on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, likely noticed the American flags lining Main Street.
Those flags were placed along the street courtesy of the Rotary Club of Hendersonville.
Community and club members sponsored individual miniature American flags in honor of a veteran of their choosing.
The club plans to place flags for other holidays as well this upcoming year, including Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Fourth of July, Flag Day and Election Day.
A spokesperson for Rotary said they hope the displays will foster unity, hope and patriotism among individuals from all walks of life.
